Thoughts on Giving:
Growing up, my family always
encouraged the giving philosophy of "do what you can, when you can."
Sometimes it is easy to give money, other times in life it is more
rewarding to give time to an organization you believed in. Either way it
makes a community stronger when more people are involved. Today, the
Internet has merely expanded our concept of community.
Below are several different
charities and organizations that I participate with - sometimes I have
given money or written letters, other times I have actually helped with
their service delivery. Both experiences have been rewarding in their own
way. I you have found this page, then maybe you would like to help me more

World Vision:
Sponsoring a child or donating
something to this charity is a unique way to get in touch with people who
need help. Sometimes they are in your community or sometimes they are a
country or a world away. Either way they both need help and this is a
special way to connect with people.
Operation Smile:
As people ourselves we almost
never think about little things like parts of your own face and how not
having such simple things as a full mouth to give a smile with could
effect your entire life. This organization specializes in reconstructive
surgery to give people a new smile and repair cleft lip.

Union Gospel Mission (Seattle)
There is something about being
far from home close to Thanksgiving that opens you heart to people
suffering without food or shelter. Maybe it is the bounty that most
Americans realize or that the anticipation of a good turkey dinner at
someone's home that makes you stop and think how others are going to spend
the holiday. I find it amazing that for less than $2 per person, Union
Gospel feeds hungry men, women and children.
